work & play, is that all there is?

The next weekend after the 10k i chose to compete in a beginners triathalon by the house in Sulphur. I had never done one and i have to say that it was interesting. My bike i borrowed got stuck in the lowest gear and i feel like a nearly drowned in the pool. I did finish and it was fun... i think.

Tyler chose to take his Spring break away from me :-(
It's understandable since i would have likely had him working with me the whole time on our house. He is learning some things from his friends which is of concern.

The countertops in the house are almost finished and they look awesome. I had all the backyard concrete removed and it is already changing the look of the place. I think the neighbors all think i am crazy or have no idea what i am up too.

I bought some tickets for St. Croix today. Tyler and i are off to the Virgin Islands next month for a little break. It should be fun.

What am i thinking
At the end of last week AJ called and asked about the Austin Cap 10k. I thought about it and figured what the heck right!. Tyler wanted to spend the night @ a friends and i had the means so off i went by myself i might add. Drove to Austin Saturday night and got up the next day for little jog around the capital. :-)

I finished in an hour and jumped in the truck. I drove back to LC for a 4pm soccer game. I am an idiot, I should not do all this crap to my body.

Trying to get the shop on 10th street demolished by the city. It may happen and if it does it will save me a $1000 bucks or so.

Tyler is doing good. Arm is healed. He is playing ball again. His mom was in town for a week from St. Croix so she kept him out of school to spend some time with him.
